Essay Process:
1. Essay must address the following question: (Question: What goals will you achieve while living rent free for 1 year? )
2. Essay should be no more than 350 words.
2. Submit by Feb 28 on this website.
3. The essays will be reviewed by a selection committee and finalists will be notified by email.
4. All finalists will have an in person interview with the selection committee.
5. Finalists will need to provide 2 references that will be verified by the committee after the interview.
5. Two final winners will be chosen.

A: No, you can live anywhere to submit an essay, just be ready to move to Seattle if you win!

About the Apartment:
- 1 Bedroom Apartment
- Location TBD: Ballard, Magnolia, Wallingford, Greenwood, or Queen Anne (based on current availability)
- Amenities: hardwood floors, onsite laundry, 24/7 maintenance support
- Security Deposit: None
- Utilities: Paid by Resident; This includes: electricity, water, sewer, garbage, cable, internet, phone
- Pet Policy: determined by building placement; may accommodate cats and small dogs
Eligibility:
- Must be a legal U.S. Resident at least 18 years of age.
- Contest winner will complete an application with background check. While there will be no financial or credit evaluation on the application could possibly disqualify an application.
- Winner must sign a lease.
